ALIMONY LAW IN PAKISTAN:

The alimony law in Pakistan says that the husband is liable for the maintenance of his wife and children. The husband is liable to pay alimony in Pakistan to his wife and children. Even if the wife is rich and independent still the husband has to maintain his wife. The alimony law in Pakistan applies only to the husband or the father. The husband is responsible for the maintenance of wife in Pakistan not only during marriage but also till the period of iddat if the husband has divorced the wife. The father is responsible for the maintenance of the male child till the age of 18 years and for the female child till her marriage. The wife as per the alimony law in Pakistan not only can claim the future alimony but also the past alimony. The past alimony can be claimed by the wife from the last 7 years. The children if are not maintained by the father the children through her mother can file a case in the family court. The Alimony amount in Pakistan is decided by the court in case of dispute. In deciding the alimony amount the court takes the financial position of the father into consideration along with the welfare of the children. The court as per the alimony law in Pakistan does not impose heavy alimony on the father. The court only orders the necessities of the children.

ALIMONY IN PAKISTAN:

The alimony in Pakistan can be claimed by both the wife and the children. The claim can be filed in the family court through a lawyer. The wife claims the alimony for the period during the marriage or if divorce has been pronounced then the wife can claim alimony till the period of iddat. The alimony of the children is the duty of the father. Even if the father is rich or poor he has to pay for the maintenance of children in Pakistan. Alimony in Pakistan is the right not only of children but also of the wife till she remains his wife. There is no fixed amount decided in the alimony law in Pakistan for the wife and children. The maintenance of child in Pakistan and wife is decided by the court keeping in view the necessities of life and the financial position of the husband. When the children are grown up they are not entitled to the alimony from the father. The father has to maintain the male child till the age of 18 and the female child till her marriage.
