Interim Maintenance of child in Pakistan:
Interim child maintenance in Pakistan is a maintenance amount that is fixed by the court during the pendency of the suit. A minor child in Pakistan has the right to sue the father for the maintenance amount. It is the father’s responsibility to maintain the child. The father of the male child is bound to maintain the child till the age of eighteen, and the female child till her marriage. Irrespective of the financial situation of the mother, the father is under an obligation as per the law to pay the maintenance amount to the child.
