Punishment For Triple Talaq In Pakistan:

There is no punishment for triple talaq in Pakistan. Most people think that a husband cannot give three divorces to a wife at the same time. This is not the same. Moreover, you will also see some lawyers misguiding regarding the punishment for triple talaq in Pakistan. There is no change in the law. The husband has the right to give a divorce to the wife all at once or in three steps. There was a proposal given by the Islamic Ideology Council that the husband should not give three divorces at once, and it should be a crime, but this proposal never became the law. The law is still the same. If a government department gives any proposal to the government, it does not become the law. The law is what it is. Section 7 of the Muslim Family Law Ordinance of 1961 says that if anyone contravenes the provisions of this act, they will be penalized, but no provision of this law says that the male has to give divorce in Pakistan to the wife one by one. Right of divorce:

Both males and females have the right to divorce in Pakistan. The male can give talaq, and the female can obtain khula in Pakistan. The law has not yet changed. Practically, the arbitration councils have also assumed that there is some kind of punishment for three divorces, so they also refuse to take the three divorces papers from the husband. This is illegal from the side of the arbitration council. Once the divorce is finalized, the couple is issued the Nadra divorce certificate as proof that they are now divorced.

Some Favorable Conditions:

Nowadays, males also give divorce one by one in three steps, assuming that giving three divorces at once is a crime. It is not that we are in favor of giving divorces one by one, but the law should not be interpreted. The law is still the same and will remain the same until the assemblies change this law. Merely assuming that there is some kind of punishment for triple talaq in Pakistan is wrong. When a male has the right to give three divorces, then he can exercise this right. This right of the husband can be taken away from the husband by a change of law. Until the law is changed, the male has the right to give three divorces at once.
